a little late but...

I took this picture last week when we went the park for Connor's birthday. They were too cute not to share.

Lindsey is so photogenic. She loves her cousins and is such a sweetheart.

Here are most of the cousins having fun at the park.

Here we are at home getting ready to eat birthday cake. Connor, Jackson and I made the cake and the icing. Yum.

Love and stuff

There is a very special bond that's been developing between Jackson and Mitchell. Jackson just cannot get enough of his little brother. He loves to kiss him, touch him, love him. Well, lately he wants to hold him too. So, the other day, we got on the floor and...with a little help...Jackson held his little brothers. He could not have been prouder...he simply beamed. He even asked me to get the camera so we could take a picture. Oh, what love. Mitchell was pretty pleased too. I think these two are going to have a neat relationship as they get older.

On another note...Craig and I celebrated our wedding anniversary earlier this week. This isn't the greatest picture...but I wanted to put something here. (ewwww, I really hated my hair that day!) Anyway, after 15-thousand diapers, 2,555 sleepless nights, 2 lost wedding rings, 67 gray hairs, 345 gallons of milk, and one emergency room visit...I'm still glad he's the only one for me!
Love you hon.

The Big Party

So...today was Connor's big birthday party. It is best described as slighly organized chaos. Not quite what I had planned, but exactly what you get with a yard full of 5 year old boys and girls. Connor enjoyed it...and that's all that matters. (I, on the other hand, was a bit overwhelmed). I'd like to say that I have great pictures to remember the day...but....there was too much going on to remember to take pictures. Hopefully some kind friends will share theres.

The best part of the day was being with all the people who cared enough to come and share some fun. Two of Connor's teachers even came. He was thrilled. I especially appreciated all the other moms and dads who helped us. (note to self....next time, make sure someone is there whose sole job is chasing Saywer!).

A few cute Connor-isms. Before the party is was a bit breezy and the balloons were blowing everywhere and getting tangled. So, Connor told us he was going to talk to God and ask him to stop the wind. He prayed out loud...then paused and waited. He fully expected the wind to stop...yet, he was disappointed that it didn't.

Also, at one point Lindsey asked Connor to sit with him or be on the same team as him....at which point Connor looked at her and said...thank you Lindsey, that was so sweet of you to ask! Too much....
