Soccer Phenom...maybe?

Connor rocked in his first ever soccer game.  He plays for the Conestoga Valley U-6 team.  He's really enjoying it!
Funny thing happened in the first few minutes of the game...his coach almost ran him over.  Connor was throwing the ball inbounds...the coach wa heading down the field and didn't see Connor and clocked him.  The coach felt soooooo bad.  Connor was a little dramatic...he cried and cried...he did have a cut on the forehead, a scratch on the eye and a cut in his lip...but he was fine.
The Wildcats did great.  Connor was always on the move...he's got a ton of energy.  He's not always with the action though.  So Craig asked him why.  He said, he wants to be between the ball and the goal...so someone can pass it to him.  Great logic...I just don't think his team mates are in on his game plan!

Go Wildcats!

HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED! (later that day)

We had an incredibly joyous Easter celebration at Aunt Lori's house.  These pictures were actually taken near the end of the day.

We tried really hard to get a good family picture.  I  had been planning for weeks to get shirts so we could all dress alike.  (Note the boys all have khakis on...Mommy did not meet that dress code requirement.  I'm working on it though.)  As you can see, Connor was less than happy to pose for pictures...he did not like his shirt and was letting me know it.

Connor eventually begged out of the picture.  Actually, the boys were all going different ways when we started to get a picture of just Jackson, Craig and I.  I grabbed Mitchell quickly - who was crawling on the ground - and Craig got Sawyer....and here's what we ende up with. I think this one turned out great.
Easter egg hunt #3 1/2 took place in Aunt Lori's front yard.  The boys were really getting good at it by this time!
Our favorite Gabby-girl with Sawyer.  (Don't you love the undershirt look!  HA!HA!)
Grandma got to kick back and relax a bit with Mr. Mitchell.  I think they both kind of liked it!
Look at this little smiley guy.  He only took about a 15 minute nap all day..and was still going strong at the end of the day.  Here he is with Uncle Dan's dad.  He was all eyes...it was almost as if the two were having a staring contest.  Mitchell didn't flinch.  Dan's Dad really loves kids...and Mitchell loved him back big time!

HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!

Look at these cuties!  Oh, my.  Connor and Jackson...along with the church Cherub Choir...sang at both serices on Easter Sunday.  I LOVE the robes.  They look so angelic....don't let the looks fool you though....they're still "energetic"!

I sat in the balcony so I could get some good shots of the boys.  They loved having their props with them.  They behaved very well.  (read:  they kept their hands to themselves and didn't use their drum sticks until they were told to.)
The whole group in mid-performance.
This one is a little dark, but you cans still see the boys.  They waved to me after they finished.  Loved it.  Then they held hands the whole way down the aisle...

Eggs...eggs...and more eggs....

The Saturday before Easter we enjoyed our annual Easter Egg hunt at church.  As you can see, it was quite a scene!

Sawyer's group went first.  He picked up one egg and was done.  A few of his little friends gave him other eggs.  He wasn't interested!  He took his one egg...went back downstairs...and opened it up.  Completely satisfied!
Jackson's group was next.  He did a great job.  He laughed and ran and found a basket full of eggs!  He was so very proud of himself!
Connor got a little help with his hunting.  Sawyer decided he like to find eggs after all...then gave all of them to Connor!  Very cute.  He was more than eager to share.
Here's Connor with his basket full.  He had a great time as well.  He especially enjoyed getting some of the harder to spot eggs.

Easter Train

On Good Friday, PopPop treated the boys and I to a visit to the Strasburg Railroad!  We were joined by our favorite little cousins...Lindsey and Seth.

Uncle Steve and Aunt Lisa were along for the ride too!  The boys fought about who would sit with Aunt Lisa...then they all ended up sitting with Uncle Steve. :)

So Happy!

Lindsey had a lap full of little boys!

Sawyer was dubbed the little angel for the trip.  He held our hands...then sat in PopPop's lap for the entire ride.  Not a peep out of him...which is a big deal if you know this little dude.  Too cute.
The little guy didn't miss a thing...
We had a grand old time!

Look Mom....no training wheels

Big news on Bowman Road!

Check this out....Connor learned to ride his bike with no training wheels!  He'd been practicing a few times, but didn't quite get it....Then, we went for a walk with his friend Michael and his mommy.  Michael doesn't have training wheels.  So...

On Saturday March 27th....Connor and Craig were outside working on it...this was one of Craig's goals for the summer...teacher Connor to ride with no training wheels

Before too long, Connor called me outside to see....

YEAH!  Congratulations Connor.  He hasn't stopped riding since.

Easter Fun

Here's a little history lesson...in other words...I didn't get around to blogging this until just now.  On Good Friday, we invited the boys' cousins Lindsey and Seth over.  We did our little make-your-own pizza thing...and then decorated easter eggs.  The boys and Lindsey had a great time!

Connor loved the stickers that came along with the package.

Here's Lindsey, carefully concocting the perfect egg...all with very clean hands!

Seth was eyeing up the colors....

Hmmm....which colors should we try next?

Waiting for the eggs to dry....We learned that the longer we kept the eggs in the cups...the more we like the color! Jackson very carefully monitored the situation.

Sawyer brought Buzz Lightyear along to help
