I am still in denial. Jackson is 5! It seems like it was just yesterday that he made his big entrance.
Though for him, it seems like it took forever to get here! He'd been waiting on turning 5 for a very long time!
The boys sang at church in the morning. Then we invited our families back to the house to celebrate.
Jackson wore his birthday crown that he got at pre-school. He was so proud of himself!
We had roast beef, baked corn and special potatoes for lunch.
We all enjoyed the meal....Jackson really enjoyed what came next....
the presents. :)
Needless to say, Jackson's brothers were also very interested in his presents!
This guy was just plain old happy.
Look at the smile.
Jackson loved his new shirt. So sharp.
One of Jackson's favorite things...his Thomas the Tank Engine birthday card. He couldn't get enough of it!Jackson...you are such a delight. You have grown up so much in the last year. It is still so hard to think that you didn't talk much at all until after you turned three. Now you talk and talk and talk...and we love every moment of it. You are so,so smart! You catch onto things so quickly and love to learn! I get the biggets thrill when you write your name. You even wrote out a birthday list with special requests....all beginning with Thomas, of course. Jackson you are so loving. You are always asking to cuddle! I try to sit with you as often as possible...still, it's never enough for you. You also love your brother Mitchell....well maybe you love him a little too much! You are constantly hugging and kissing him!
At your 5 year doctor appointment you were so brave. You grew 3 1/2 inches, but only gained 3 pounds. You got 3 shots...and didn't shed a tear. You just held me and gave me a big squeeze...then said "what the heck?!?!?!" You are so cute.
I love you so, so much!
